Comic Potion Number Nine

June 15, 2005

Batman Begins open today, and Knightbane wanted to get a few things off his chest. I'm really hoping the movie is good, and that any sequels won't fall into the pitfalls of the previous movie series.

I'm pretty pleased with how this comic turned out. I'm experimenting with actually inking the comics, to try and see if that makes things quicker. Previously, I've been going over the lines with a dark pencil, effectively inking, but still erasable. I rather fear the non-erasable ink, but it does lead to a better scan.

It was really hard to get back into the comic-making zone, and then Friday's comic has just been beating me up as well. Now that inertia has been overcome, things should be going a bit smoother. I know what Monday's comic will be, and I know how the Hydrosaurus will be defeated, but the bit in the middle is still nebulous.

A bit behind, but back in business

June 12, 2005

Sorry for the delay. I had my laptop in the shop while I was away in Maine, and I only just got it back yesterday. There won't be a comic for Monday, but Wednesday should mark the return of the adventures of my favorite super-hero team. In the meantime, don't forget you'll know automagically when there's an update if you use the new RSS feed, see the blue button above.

Maine was awesome. It was great to catch up with old friends, people I hadn't seen in years, and of course New England was as beautiful as ever. Most of the people that returned were actually old classmates that I didn't know, and there were some faces missing that I had really hoped to see, but I still had an excellent time, and I'm so glad that I finally decided to go.

No comic for a week, I'm off to Maine

June 1, 2005

It's my 10th year college reunion, and I'll be off hobnobbing with state senators and lawyers and doctors, explaining that I'm currently unemployed, but I do have my own web-comic. It'll be great.

I had meant to get at least one update in before my flight out, but it simply isn't going to happen, sorry. On the plus side, I plan to use some of that airport time thinking ahead, so future updates should be easier.

I will return Monday night, so there's a good chance that there'll be a new comic for Wednesday, June 8.

In the meantime, check out Tomb of the King, by my immensely talented cousin. Confuse her utterly by telling her Mister Marvelous sent ya!
